Calling all young makers! The Kids Creator’s Club is a monthly art + craft experience designed for kids who love to create, experiment, and make with their hands. Hosted in a cozy, in-home studio in Dubuque, this six-month club helps kids build confidence through creativity while exploring exciting hands-on projects together.
 
Each month, students will dive into a brand-new creative project — learning new techniques, expressing their individual style, and bringing home something they’re proud of. It’s the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and artistic exploration in a warm, welcoming setting.
 
Projects include:
Hand-building Clay Pottery 
Painting Sandals
Custom Embroidery Sweatshirts 
Felting Ornaments
Indian Block Printing on Bags
Painting Custom Wood Cutout Name Signs 
 
Schedule:
👧 Grades 5–8: Tuesdays — July 14, Aug 11, Sept 8, Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 8
⏰ Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
📍 Location: In-home studio in Dubuque (address shared after registration)

About the Instructor/Host: 
Donna Schmitt is a technology teacher at Carver Elementary in Dubuque. She has taught in the district for over 20 years. As a art minor and math major with masters degrees in Educational Technology and Talented and Gifted (TAG), she works daily to develop creativity in students from a young age through the skills of collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
