It is important to note that being a light for Christ doesn't always mean that things are “good” in your life, it simply means that you are able to endure the dark seasons by the power of the light, the Holy Spirit, within you.
Personally, it has been in the darkest and most disappointing seasons of my life that I have experienced the most spiritual growth. For it was in my weakness that His strength made me strong. When we step into the light, as he is in the light, we are able to have fellowship with one another and peace with God in the midst of darkness because of the blood of Jesus.
